The Procyon MQ LT features a one-piece monocoque Zaion V body that allows for less body and flex frame support on the gears and bearings and allows for increased torque and power while providing longer gear life. Anglers will find the one-piece Zaion V monocoque body of the Procyon MQ LT incredibly light when they pick it up and put it on their favorite rod.The Procyon MQ LT features an Air Drive rotor designed to be very stiff, especially at high drag pressures with little flex. The Procyon MQ LT also has generous cutouts in its engineering design, which reduces the weight of the Air Drive Rotor. The lighter the rotor, the less inertia it takes to spin around the reel. This makes it much easier to handle the crank. The new reels also feature a tubular bail that reduces weight and provides greater rigidity than standard line, reducing the chance of bending, kinking and breaking. The tubular bail is also made of a thicker material that provides a good feel on the fingers when the bail is turned by hand.Another feature of the series is DIGIGEAR® technology, which greatly improves gear smoothness and wear.Anglers will also find Daiwa’s distinctive Advanced Tournament Drag (ATD™) an advantage when setting the hook and fighting fish. When you set the hook, the reel instantly adds drag resistance, and then when the fish start pulling on the drag, the ATD drag curve automatically returns to your prescribed setting.The Procyon MQ LT family also features the Long Cast ABS spool. The lip design of the spool allows the line to exit the reel at a much tighter cone-shaped angle, meeting the leader train with less resistance and force, mitigating wind knots and allowing for longer casts.
